We love this recipe and the pork ribs are delicious and tender.
Ingredients
3 lbs Boneless Pork Ribs
1 ½ cups Beef Broth
Dry Rub
1 tsp Sea Salt
½ tsp Ground Pepper
1 ½ tsp Smoked Paprika
1 ½ tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Cumin
½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
Directions
- Add beef broth to the inner pot of the Instant Pot and place the steamer rack (trivet) into the pot.
- In a small bowl combine the dry rub spices; sea salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper. Stir to blend.
- Place the ribs in a large bowl. Add dry rub and toss to coat ribs in spice mixture. This can be done up to 24 hours in advance and placed covered in the refrigerator.
- Stack the ribs on top of the steamer rack in the pot and Coat top with low or no barbecue sauce over the ribs.
- Close & lock the Instant Pot lid and flip the steam release handle to the Sealing position. Select Pressure Cook (Manual) on High Pressure and set the cooking time for 30 to 35 minutes.
- Once cook time is complete, let the pressure release Naturally (press cancel and leave the pot alone for about 20 minutes or until the pin on the lid drops).
- Open the lid and carefully lift out the trivet & ribs. Transfer ribs to a serving plate and brush the ribs with low or no carb barbecue sauce.
Notes
-
You may need to adjust your cooking or resting time depending how you like your ribs.
For barbecue sauce, I use a mixture of Walden Farms Sugar Free Barbecue Sauce and Heinz No Sugar Added Ketchup. This thickens up the sauce a bit and makes it a little less sweet.
I know this recipe or the inspiration for this recipe came from the internet, but I am not sure from what site. I am also not sure how much I have modified it.
